3 female
1 male
May 6: Started to have a milk
Days passes by and still the same.
May 8: got the rectal temp and it's below her average. 37 degree Celsius and I thought its her due since she is showing signs but still I'm not expecting till she show signs of stage 1 labor
May 9: no sign 36.5 degree Celsius. She's crying. I touch the belly but I can't feel the movement of the pups
May 10: I felt the movement of the pups
May 11: morning she does her usual routine
Afternoon: she's a little restless
4pm: stage 1 of labor
7pm water sac began to appear
7:30 she broke her own water sac
Time passes by and not sure what to do.
She was normal before and im sure she's normal again...
8pm surfing the net to find answers
Usually when water sac broke the pup will come out soon...
7:45: she started to contract and she cried a lot... Some dogs tried to see what happened so I told them not to come maybe it would distract her so when she stopped I brought her to another room
8:30 I'm scared for her coz maybe she will have a C section and I don't want that...
I'm still trying my best to help her....
Her contraction is not enough to push the pup... So I'm trying to touch various part of her stomach with care...
9 pm it's freaking me out... Should I call the vet ? But no sign of green discharge so no dead pup inside...
I can also hear the beat of the pup but not so clear...
9:20 I bring her back to my room again so she can contract...
9:30 I carry her n hug her on the chair while touching her stomach side and the back of her body...
I feel the contraction but not enough to pass the pup...
9:35 she discharge some fluid... Okay this is the time so I placed her where she can deliver her pup and she cried a lot and there it goes...
A female pup was born... And so the next one n the next one :)
Not all the cases when the water broke should have puppies...
2hrs passes and all my puppies were alive...
All was needed was to wait...
Or just an instinct...
I tried to surf the net as I said earlier and they told that 1 hr+ or 2hr + I should contact the vet...
Yes for assurance and safety of my pup and I will do that when it reaches my limit or after 3 hrs of no sign or a green discharge but in my case it's late on night and there is no available vet... And she tried to contract once but failed.
I do know that I'm pushing my dog but I need to trust her... I know what's the feeling of having a C section dog and I'm well aware of it... I don't want my dog to be cut open... I don't want to cry again...
So all was needed was experienced, trust and instinct...
Oh forgot to mention while I'm surfing there was an article that I read that her cat water sac broke on evening and no sign of litters but when morning came the kittens come out so I'm betting on that article also... And want to thank that article... Maybe if I didn't read that maybe my decision to wait has been changed also...
